ABOUT CALICO CROSSROADS©

CALICO CROSSROADS®
produces unique designs for the discriminating home machine embroidery enthusiast  as  well  as hand embroidery designs.  Their goal is to share their love of hand and machine  embroidery  with others.  They pride themselves on the uniqueness and quality of  their designs.   All of their machine embroidery designs are digitized using state-of-the-art Wilcom ES-65 professional-grade software.

The company consists of Linda Connors and her husband, Jim.   Linda does all of the design work, digitizing, stitch outs, finishing, etc.  Jim is the photographer, accountant, digital imaging wizard and computer guru who manages to keep everything running smoothly so Linda can do the creative stuff.

Linda has always been involved in one way or the other with the fiber arts. Throughout the years, she's tried many forms of fiberart including counted cross stitch, Hardanger, macrame, knitting, sewing, embroidery, crocheting, weaving, crewel, spinning, natural dyeing, needlepoint, string art, beading, batik and too many different needlework techniques to list.  Being somewhat of a techie, she became fascinated with machine embroidery in 2001 and has been enjoying the learning process.

They have two cats (with all those Kats by Kelly™ designs how could they NOT have a couple of cats?). There's 16-year-old Murphy, who looks just like all those black cats in our Kats by Kelly™ series! Five-year-old Dexter is the other baby (he's the black and white kitten with the lopsided splotch on his nose) who despite the fact that he doesn't quite look like the cats in the Kats by Kelly™ designs, nonetheless ACTS like them! What a corker! And SOOO much energy and spunk!  If he gets into something he's not supposed to (never!) and they have to tell him "No!",  he hisses and slaps at the disciplinarian just like a spoiled child!  Actually, he is VERY spoiled!  But, why would anyone have a cat that they DIDN'T spoil!?  That's what they are for!

They love hearing from you too, so if you have any comments--good or bad--please let them know!

Always in Stitches,

Linda and Jim Connors
