All of the counted thread images, design leaflets and intellectual property contained herein are protected under U.S. and international copyright laws.

Calico Crossroads® retains the intellectual property rights to all of our designs and we grant you a non-transferrable license to reproduce them with a needle and thread by hand for not-for-profit purposes only.

What this means to you, the purchaser/stitcher, in simple terms is that:

you MAY make a working copy of the chart and/or enlargement for ease in reading for PERSONAL USE ONLY but you must destroy it after use,

you MAY stitch our designs for yourself or give as gifts,

you MAY change or add materials to suite your tastes--in fact, we encourage this and

you MAY enjoy hours of stitching fun!

If others ask you to stitch our designs for them, as long as that person purchases their own copy of our pattern and is only using the finished stitched pieces for personal use and/or gifts, it is perfectly acceptable to be paid for your skills as a needleworker. But if their intended use is to sell or donate the stitched pieces for profit, that would be a violation of our copyright and would not be acceptable.

In addition, as a needlework shop owner:

you MAY stitch and display a model in your needlework shop,

you MAY use our images on your website as items available for sale and

you MAY teach our designs in as a class providing each student purchases a chart.

However, You MAY NOT (shop owner or stitcher) photocopy, scan, photograph, digitize, publish our designs on the web (except as granted above) or share these designs in any way.

You MAY NOT stitch designs to sell, auction (like on E-bay) or donate for fund-raising purposes. We do not grant commercial licenses for these designs for any reason!

In fact, you MAY NOT use our designs for ANY profit-making purposes.

We encourage you to please respect these copyright rules so that we may continue to bring you more new designs!
